New! Check out my blog and enjoy some original Literary Bits by yours truly, featuring fiction and some Midwestern Haiku. Feel free to leave comments after you've read the pieces!

Check out my bike page. This is the newest addition to my site. Its a bicycle photo gallery. Bicycles are the perfect machine: affordable, simple, easy to maintain, practical and fun. Even the rusty ones have their own unique beauty.

Vision Restoration

http://www.vision-restoration.com

Vision Restoration now has a redesigned site, which was launched in early April of 2011. It features a contact form done with PHP, as well as some image swapping user-interactive fun. Check them out for all of your construction/house restoration needs. They repair water and wind damaged property, as well as that which has been vandalized. Also, if your humble abode has been clobbered by a moving vehicle, they can fix your house in that scenario too. Click on the image to visit vision-restoration.com.

Netheridge

Fictional Golf Course Site Design by Matt Rochon

This is a site for a fictional golf course/country club that was needed by a culinary arts student as part of a marketing plan. Included in this site are examples of logo design, layout, and some photoshop work.

Banksy

Banksy Site Design by Matt Rochon

This site is dedicated to Banksy, the elusive stencil graffiti artist from the U.K. There is a lot of interesting information on Banksy, some videos, and lots of images. It features a two-column with rounded corners layout, and a banner and graphics created in Illustrator and Photoshop. All XHTML/CSS, and a little bit of javascript for the image swap on the pages with thumbnails.

Discraft

Discraft Site Comp design by Matt Rochon

This one is a functional redesign for an existing site. The links that are functional are contact, disc golf, disc golf lines, events, faq, and home. It features a three column layout, all done with XHTML/CSS. Also, on the home page is an element created in Flash.

Garden City DDA

Garden City Downtown Development Authority

This site, for the Garden City Downtown Development Authority, has been up since August 2009. I designed everything, and it is constantly being maintained, updated, and improved. Click the logo and give it a visit (especially if you live in Garden City!).

WAMPP

WAMPP

This site is for the Wine, Art, Music, and Poetry Project. My part in this one involved coding from a comp done by my wife (who is also a designer) in Adobe Illustrator. This is the first site that I have done that includes image rollovers that are fully functional in Safari as well as Explorer and Firefox. (Please keep in mind that since I put the site up, the owners have made some changes that don't exactly go along with the original plan. You'll see what I mean). Mainly I have included this one to demonstrate my cross-browser friendly rollover images.

Latino Coalition for Prevention

Latino Coalition for Prevention

This was the new site for the Chicago-based nonprofit group The Latino Coalition for Prevention. Unfortunately, although the site was live for one year, it only ever contained as much content as can be seen here. Although the Coalition wanted a site and paid for it, the site was never utilized.

The Privymaster

The Privymaster Redesign by Matt Rochon

There is a very interesting website called Privymaster.org, and I took it upon myself to redesign it. This website is dedicated to privy excavation in the name of buried treasure. Long ago, privies were a common place for a household to dump their garbage, and once it is full, it is covered over and the outhouse is moved elsewhere on the property. Thus, years and years later, people find out where they were, and dig them up, uncovering a plethora of collectible bottles, household items, and things such as clay pipes. Very interesting site. XHTML/CSS.
